Yes! If you already use another app to track your collection, you can usually bring it into Music Tracker as long as the other app lets you export your library into a CSV file.
How to import a CSV file
- Open the other app and look for the option to Export your library. Choose CSV format if available.
- On your device, open Music Tracker → Settings → Import.
- Select the CSV file you exported.
- Choose the import format:
- If you exported from a supported app (like Delicious Library 3, Bookpedia), select it directly.
- If you exported from another app, select Other and you’ll be able to map the fields (e.g. Title, Artist, Year) so everything ends up in the right place.
- Review the preview and confirm the import. Your albums will appear in your library.
Tips for a smooth migration
- Always keep a backup of your CSV file before importing.
- Check that columns like title and artist are filled in consistently. This helps Music Tracker match them correctly.
- If your collection is very large, the first sync might take a little longer. Make sure iCloud is on and let the process finish.
Troubleshooting
- If something looks wrong after the import (missing fields, mismatched data), you can delete the import and try again with adjusted mapping.
- If you’re stuck, you can contact support and send us your CSV file, we’ll help you set it up.
