You can move your records from Delicious Library 3 to Music Tracker. Delicious Library keeps books, movies and records in one library, and Music Tracker imports only the records.

Set Delicious Library 3 to English

Delicious Library names its columns in the language it is running in. Music Tracker reads an English or a German export on its own; any other language and it will ask you which program the file came from.

• Click the Apple menu in the top left corner of your screen and choose System Settings.
• Choose General in the sidebar, then Language & Region.
• Scroll down to Applications. If Delicious Library 3 is not in the list, click the + button and add it.
• Choose English from the menu beside it.
• Quit Delicious Library 3 and open it again.

Export your library as a CSV file

• Open Delicious Library 3 and go to the Export page.
• Set Export Type to Delimited Text.
• Set Export to Entire Library.
• Set Separate Multiple Values With to Comma.
• Set Delimiter to String delimiter, and type a semicolon in the field beside it.
• Under Export Fields, select every field.
• Save the file. If the name does not end in .csv, rename it so that it does.

Exporting the entire library is deliberate. Music Tracker picks the records out of it and leaves your books and movies alone.

Import the file into Music Tracker

• Open Music Tracker and go to Settings, then Import.
• Choose the file you exported.
• Music Tracker recognizes a Delicious Library export on its own. If it says something else, tap the name and choose Delicious Library from the list.
• Tap Continue, look through what the import is about to do, and start it.

What Music Tracker keeps

• The title and the artist.
• The label, the genres, and the shelves you filed the record on.
• The barcode, which is in the EAN column. This is the one thing that lets Music Tracker recognize a record you already have, so it is worth keeping.
• The track titles, when the export has them.
• The year, your rating, the price you paid and the day you bought it.
• The subtitle and your notes.
• The composer, the conductor and the producer, each under the job they did.

About the books and the movies

Two thirds of a mixed library are not records. Music Tracker reads the column that says what each row is and imports only the ones that say Music. The rest are listed on the review screen under Skipped, so you can see that nothing was lost by accident. In one real export of 638 rows, 507 were records, 79 were books and 51 were movies.

That is it. Your Delicious Library records are now in Music Tracker.
